CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MAY EVENTS

The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Market on the Square opens Saturday, May 6, 2017.  The weekly Saturday market is open from 8 am- 12 pm.
The season will kick-off with a "Shop Small." "Shop Local." theme.  Shop from over 30 market vendors both on the Square, around the Square, and inside the Visitors' Center.

Featured on opening day will be authors Stone Workman and Linda Aldridge who will be autographing their newly released book, A Mother's Love. Make plans to join the market for lunch!  The First United Methodist Church Men's Spring BBQ will be available for $8.00 per plate at 11:30 am (until sold out).  Direct sales and handmade crafts will be available inside the Visitors' Center.  Also in the Visitors' Center is an art display featuring local artists Katie Cannon, Jill Dyer, Lee Jordan, and Jeanne Trammell.  Several of the Downtown merchants will have sidewalk sales.  Be sure to visit the Bank of Monticello Annex for Jasper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary's annual fundraiser with Adorn jewelry.

The weather is predicted to be beautiful Saturday so join us!  Our vendors are excited to share their weekly items with you.  Look for favorites like - homemade pies, canned goods, plants, herbs, fresh vegetables and fruits, cheese, soaps, baked items, pork skins, boiled peanuts and more!
