Who needs to get TRAINED?
Every youth deserves a TRAINED leader. 
Big Apple District is hosting two leader specific trainings this month and they welcome everyone to participate!

* Saturday, March 5 th: 9am-3pm  Cub Leader Specific Training  at GNYC Office
* Saturday, March 12th: 9am-3pm  Scout Leader Specific Training  at GNYC office

Polycom, Inc. a Science/Technology company, helping organizations unleash the power of human collaboration, has invited Scouts and Explorers to learn all about technology in the work place. 

*Open to high schoolers, free of cost, and lunch will be provided!
*4 Councils across the Country will be participating in this Career Day 
*Participants will be video-conferencing with these groups
*Upon registration, you will receive an email with full day agenda, day-of contact information, and a letter to excuse you from school.

US Tennis Association Play Day
April 25th, 12:00pm - 2:00pm
National Tennis Center

Space is limited to-
*150 Cub Scouts
*50 Boy Scouts
*24 parent participants.  
Slots are allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. l ast year we held a waiting list nearly as long as the entry list! 
The cost of this event will be $10 per youth or parent participants.  This event is open to any GNYC Scout across New York City. The NTC is easily to reach via the 7 Train at the Met's-Willet's Point station. 
Borough Day Camps
I n addition to  Pouch Day Camp in Staten Island, GNYC has partnered with The Bronx Zoo, The Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and St. Johns University to offer a week long program of summer camp to Cubs and their siblings in all boroughs.

The National Jamboree has been a BSA tradition since 1937 and Scouts that attend rank it as one of their top experiences in Scouting.  In 2013, the National Jamboree moved to its new permanent home at the Summit in West Virginia. There Scouts can participate in whitewater rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, mountain biking, skateboarding, BMX, shooting sports and zip-line courses.
