Brendan Leipsic
VANCOUVER CANUCKS - NHL

Brendan is coming off of his first full season in the National Hockey League. Leipsic split his first season with the Vegas Golden Knights, and his current team, the Vancouver Canucks. Leipsic was originally selected in the expansion draft by Vegas, but he was traded to Vancouver at the Trade Deadline in February. 

 Brendan trains in  our Pro Group during the summer months.

Cody Glass
PORTLAND WINTERHAWKS - WHL

Cody has recently finished his 19 year old season with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. Last summer, Cody was drafted in the 2017 NHL Draft, #6 overall by the Vegas Golden Knights. Cody is currently with the Golden Knights' AHL affiliate team, the Chicago Wolves, as they work through their postseason.

Cody trains in our R1 Junior program during the summer months.

Garret Browning
JAMESTOWN JIMMIES - ACHA
 
Garret Browning has recently completed his second season with the Jamestown Jimmies of the ACHA. Prior to attending college, Browning had a four year junior career with the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League; he was able to capture a Turnbull Cup championship in 2014 with the team. Garret is majoring in Computer Science at college as he continues his studies in Jamestown.

Garrett trains in our R1 Junior program during the summer months.

Kate Friesen
PROVIDENCE FRIARS- NCAA DIV. I

Kate Friesen has recently completed her third hockey season as a student-athlete at Providence College in Rhode Island. Kate had a tremendous season with the Friars and helped the team finish second in the regular season in the Hockey East Division. Prior to college, Kate played for the Pembina Valley Hawks in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League. During her time in midget, Kate also represented Manitoba having played for the U-18 Female Provincial Team.   

Kate trains in our R1 College Female program during the summer months.

Tyler Penner
COLGATE RAIDERS - NCAA Div I

Tyler Penner has recently completed his  Sophomore  hockey season as a student-athlete at Colgate University in New York. Prior to playing college hockey, Tyler had a very successful junior hockey career playing for the Steinbach pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. In his last season with the club, he captained the team and help them reach the Turnbull Cup final. Penner is currently finishing his school year studying business at Colgate University.

Tyler trains in our R1 Junior program during the summer months. 

Jackson Keane
PENTICTON VEES - BCHL

Jackson Keane has recently finished his 20 year old season of junior hockey playing for the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League. Jackson also spent time of his junior career playing in the United States Hockey League and the Manitoba Junior Hockey league. Next year, Keane will be attending the University of North Dakota playing Division 1 hockey for the Fighting Hawks.

Jackson trains in our R1 Junior program and takes part in 1v1 sessions with our Rink Professionals.

Riley Goertzen
PEMBINA VALLEY HAWKS - MMHL

Riley Goertzen has recently finished his first season of midget hockey with the Pembina Valley Hawks of the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League. Goertzen, a product of Homewood, MB, was a recent pick by the Swan Valley Stampeders in the 2017 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Draft. Goertzen is also currently listed with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League.  

Riley trains in our R1 Junior Prep program during the summer months.

Rowyn Ringor 
FORT GARRY TWINS - PEEWEE AA

Rowyn Ringor is a long time member at The Rink, being a part of our programs dating back to Spring of 2011. Ringor had even been a member of our Intro to Hockey program when she had first started playing the sport of hockey. Currently, Rowyn suits up for the Fort Garry Twins Peewee team in the Winnipeg Female AA League. Ringor was also able to help her team win silver this past season and also represented the Twins by playing in the Peewee Female Prospects game.


Rowyn participates in 1v1 and Small Group sessions with our team of Rink Professionals.
