SHADOW KNITTING: Now You See It Now You Don't!
Color and texture meet and mingle with startling results in the subtle, intriguing fabrics created by shadow (also called "illusion") knitting. Stripes, garter stitch, and stockinette combine to create patterns that appear or vanish depending upon the angle of view- perfect for hiding secret messages in your work. This class will include learning the technique (including simple chart reading) as well as investigating methods for designing shadow patterns, and play with creating our own charts for custom projects.

Time 9:00am - 12:00pm
Our Price: $79.00 + supplies

KNITTED PLAID: A Color and Pattern Workshop
If the prospect of mixing colors gives you the fidgets, but you dream of putting together your own complex color schemes for projects, this class is for you. Class will begin by learning a simple but strikingly effective method of knitting plaid fabric- a method that can even be used to recreate family or school tartans. Then you'll use the framework of the plaid as the point of departure for a practical hands on lesson in color selection. You can learn to develop your own color schemes- all it takes is a little knowledge, a little practice, and a little playfulness! This class includes 8 mini skeins of Quince & Co. Chickadee in a variety of colors to choose from.

Time 1:30-4:30
Our Price: $89.00
