Coastline reps contacted CPP on June 5, 2023 to inform us of the fraudulent purchase of three John Deere 17G mini excavators. They also provided information that was a potential lead to the location the units in Temple City where the units were delivered. A Coastline employee spotted one of the units at a residence across the street and informed CPP who then reached out to our partners with the TRAP East Team.
TRAP Detectives authored a search warrant to recover the excavators and search for any items related to the fraudulent purchase.
Two of the three units were successfully recovered on June 8th.
The individuals at the location were determined to have no criminal involvement regarding the stolen excavators.
The investigation is ongoing.
