Siempre Flamenco's 9th Annual Festival de Cante

The 9th Annual Festival de Cante Flamenco: Intimate! Passionate! Raw and bewitching! Deep emotions emanate from flamenco song and unite with the intricate fury of dance in a unique performance that will exhilarate audiences with an up-close experience in the 200-seat Carnival Studio Theater.
An all-star cast with acclaimed Spanish singers Paco del Pozo (Madrid), Ismael de la Rosa (Seville) and Javier Heredia (Seville), guest dancer Jos� Barrios (C�rdoba), guest guitarists Jos� Luis Rodriguez (Huelva) and Paco Fernandez (Seville) will join Siempre Flamenco's Paco and Celia Fonta. You'll be swept away to the gypsy caves of Andaluc�a with the stirring rhythms of flamenco.

1st Annual YoungArts Awareness Day

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) is launching the 1st Annual YoungArts Awareness Day, a nationwide initiative to "keep arts alive" on Monday, September 8. A variety of public events will be taking place to celebrate YoungArts Awareness Day. In Miami, where YoungArts is headquartered and Mayor Tom�s P. Regalado has proclaimed September 8 as YoungArts Awareness Day, a mural by local YoungArts Alumnus (2014 Visual Arts winner Lee Pivnik) and renowned Miami based muralist and visual artist Douglas Hoekzema ("Hox") will be unveiled; pop-up performances by YoungArts Alumni will take place throughout the city; and a premiere screening of the HBO documentary special Joshua Bell: A YoungArts MasterClass will be held, followed by a YoungArts Salon and performance with Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell and YoungArts Alumni, sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Join over 100 arts and culture institutions, galleries and artists in Downtown Miami for three days of unique cultural experiences during the third annual Art Days! The Miami DDA along with the cultural spaces and artists residing in Downtown Miami have come together to present over 170 free events (unless otherwise noted) packed into three fun-filled days, September 19-21, 2014. Art Days has something for everyone including exhibitions, The Fringe, walking tours, bike tours, art parties, family programming and more.
