Honor society wins thirteen regional awards
Phi Theta Kappa

Edgecombe Community College's student honor society won 13 awards at the recent Phi Theta Kappa Carolinas Regional Convention. Three students and Advisor Tamara Frank-Pourvady represented ECC's chapter, Alpha Omega Nu, at the annual convention held March 10-12 in Durham. At this conference, chapters and individuals are recognized for their hard work throughout the year.
Community colleges showcase their impact
Patient Simulator

Edgecombe Community College was among nine area community colleges that united on Wednesday to showcase and celebrate their vital contributions to their service areas. The colleges hosted the North Central Prosperity Zone Community College Press Conference on the campus of Wilson Community College. On hand were representatives from Central Carolina, Durham, Edgecombe, Johnston, Nash, Piedmont, Wake Technical, Wilson, and Vance-Granville community colleges.
 
New York Theatre Ballet to perform March 30

New York Theatre Ballet

The New York Theatre Ballet will perform Sleeping Beauty at Keihin Auditorium on the Tarboro campus, Thursday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to the public, but tickets are required. Reserved seating tickets are available to the general public through the ECC Box Office (252) 823-5166, ext. 187, and at Edgecombe County Memorial Library (252) 823-1141.
