Did you know money designated directly to United Way NSV is distributed through Impact Grants based on the recommendations of area volunteers? This year we have more than $450,000 to give out. Where do you think it would do the most good?
Fund Distribution volunteers represent the contributing public and help to insure that donated funds are well spent. Volunteers work together to review five to nine grant applicants and recommend monetary levels of support for specified programs.

United Way NSV provides a directory, available to all of our area residents and agencies! The 2016-2018 directory features more than 150 non-profits and agencies who provide health and human care services in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. United Way celebrated 70 continuous years of Living United on Thursday, February 18th. This very special evening combined awards for outstanding dedication and work with United Way, the induction and celebration of current and former board members, as well as an interactive Jeopardy game show featuring last year's community accomplishments.
Awards given included Youth Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Employee Campaign Manager of the Year, Campaign Volunteer of the year and Rookie of the Year. Business appreciation awards for Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were also recognized.
