Celebrate Me A Big Success!
Celebrate Me! was a wonderful day filled with fun and encouragement for the foster teens in Montgomery County. We had 230 teens attend and about 150 volunteers! The teens enjoyed activities, learned new skills and heard from encouraging speakers. The event cost nearly $15,000, with the bulk of the cost being the new shoes each teen received.

Some of the donors included: The Woodlands Art Council, Junior League of The Woodlands, Addison Insurance (Kyle Mead),Love Fosters Hope, TWUMC, Aveda, Arbonne (Daniela Grobb), HEB, Randalls, Jack in The Box, Trader Joe's, We Will Speak, CASA, Back2Basics, Montgomery County CPS, Cadence Bank, JCPennys, Mosaics of Mercy, and Cheryl and Paulo Tubel. We are grateful to all of our sponsors and volunteers. We hope you will consider joining us next year!

Welcome Lynn Oltman

Lynn Oltman is our new Angels' Nest Supervisor.Lynn was raised in Aldine but as an adult she has lived in many different states. Moving here from Omaha, Nebraska, she brought her training and skills in Human Services to Angel Reach. She worked at Nebraska Childrens' Home Society, helping with free adoptions, and also as an Intensive Family Preservation Specialist. This involved helping parents get their children back from CPS. In nine months Lynn will receive her Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling. Welcome, Lynn, we are glad you bring so many skills to Angel Reach.
Exxon Mobil and Anadarko Volunteer Workdays
Exxon Mobil brought in over 100 of their community partners volunteers to help with repairs, painting, gardening, and building projects! They worked at several of the Angel Reach houses and the wonderful results are very appreciated.

Anadarko also sent over 30 volunteers to work at Angels' Nest. They repaired and painted the living room walls, built a fire pit, benches and a table, provided a new swing set, weeded the flower beds and repaired the fence among other projects. The house and yard look beautiful!

Volunteerism is encouraged by both of these large companies, and Angel Reach benefits from their time and generosity. Thank you to all of the volunteers who generously helped make Angel Reach a more beautiful home for our residents.

Angel Reach Participates in Two Races
Angel Reach staff and volunteers participated recently in the CASA Superhero Race. CASA is a partner with Angel Reach, sharing the goal of helping aged out foster children.

In addition, Angel Reach staff and some residents participated in the Love Fosters Hope run recently in The Woodlands. This annual Run for Hope race is one way that we collaborate together and support other agencies to raise awareness and help break the generational cycle of abuse, neglect and homelessness in Montgomery County.
