"Brown Babies: Germany's Lost Children Today at SF School of Digital Filmmaking 5 p.m.
San Francisco - June 15, 2013 - Veteran actress Peggy Blow and genealogist Henriette Cain, actual "Brown Babies" themselves will be at the 5:00 Screening of made for German Public TV film "Brown Babies: Germany's Lost Children by Michaela Kirst at the San Francisco School for Digital Filmmaking, 925 Mission Street (Next Door to the San Francisco Chronicle). The screening is free with first come first served limited seating.
Highlights on the festival on today include a 3:00 p.m. appearance by Actor, Director, Producer, Choreographer and Author Derrin Henson ( of HBO "Soul Food" series fame) along with the screening of his film "Hotel!" Henson will also sign his book, "Intimate Thoughts."
Father's Day, June 16 is the perfect day for the encore of "#10-DeSean Jackson: The Making of a Father's Dream. The film by Jackson's brother, Byron Jackson, himself an accomplished athlete who played football for San Jose State University and by Hollywood Director, Kern Konwiser received raved reviews at the news conference and VIP screening at Dolby Laboratories on Thursday (Thank you very much Team Dolby!) Although the film focus' greatly on Bill Jackson, Byron in his opening comments gave great kudos to Gayle Jackson who was in attendance, DeSean's mother for her role in helping the family achieve it's dreams. ( Spoiler Alert: Bring the hankies... the film made grown men cry for joy!)
Gary Cablayan, DeSean's Track and Endurance Coach and SportsRhythms Academic Director Karlos Carter gave great insight to DeSean's development and the next steps toward using the documentary film as an inspirational educational tool, respectively.
