Gahanna's development department has asked City Council to approve an incentive agreement with MNX Global to persuade the company to move from the Rickenbacker area. 

Development Director Anthony Jones said MNX representatives are proposing to relocate to a multitenant building at 690 Taylor Rd. He said the company is working on a reorganization of its North American operations and would expand the workforce at the new location, relocating 39 jobs and adding another 12.

The development department proposes a three-year office and industrial incentive based on the payroll of the new jobs. Jones said the total estimated incentive payment to MNX would be $12,066 over three years. The net income-tax revenue to the city from the relocated and new jobs would be $161,492 over six years.

In addition, the Gahanna Community Improvement Corp. would collect about $13,800 in revenue generated by providing GahannaNet services.

MNX is a global logistics company with offices around the world. Its Ohio operations focus mainly on life sciences related to specialized transportation for blood and tissue.

Listen to expert speakers, enjoy Creekside Park and peruse all the herbal plants and crafts during Mother's Day weekend at Creekside Plaza for the annual Herb Day.  The event is FREE and attendees will be able to enjoy demonstrations throughout the day.
