July is Park & Recreation Month -- a time to get active outside, get involved in the community, and to appreciate the beauty of our parks. In celebration of this month, the City of Gahanna will launch a photo campaign during the month of July.

Governance
Governance Commission Meeting
July 28, 2015

The City of Gahanna Governance Commission is scheduled to hear from a panel of regional officials to learn about their chosen form of city government.  The panel is set to meet on July 28, 2015 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall, 200 S. Hamilton Rd.

Invited guests include officials from Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Huber Heights, Marysville, Westerville and Tracy Williams, liaison for the Ohio City Managers Association. 

The public can submit questions in writing to the panel and time permitting, each inquiry will be addressed. Further meetings will be scheduled for the public to ask questions, comment and dialogue with the Commission.

CreeksideCreekside Live Returns with Mike Dudley & Annie Hawe

July 10, 2015 

 

   

The Creekside presented by Lew Griffin & Grange Insurance returns again tonight with Mike Dudley and Annie Hawe.  The opening act Mike Dudley, will get the crowd warmed up at 5:00 p.m. and Anne Hawe will take the stage at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring friends, family, and co-workers to Creekside Park during this exciting event to enjoy all the area has to offer, including paddleboat rides on the Big Walnut Creek, boutique shops, and a variety of restaurants in the Creekside District. More Fun this Summer at Gahanna Pools

 

   

 

Enjoy Gahanna pools even more this summer! Seven Visit Passes are back now through August 31, 2015.  The pass is good for seven individual gate entries. Purchase yours in person for just $40 at Hunters Ridge Pool, Gahanna Swimming Pool or at the Parks & Recreation office at Gahanna City Hall.

 

Plus, join Gahanna Parks & Recreation this summer at Gahanna Swimming Pool (GSP) and Hunters Ridge Pool (HRP) for a variety of fun events.

 

Ice Cream Nights at HRP are Tuesdays through September 1 from 4 - 7 p.m. and Hot Dog Nights at GSP are Thursdays through August 6 from 4 - 8:30 p.m. For both events, members receive free admission. Non-members are $6 per person or $20 per household. Ice cream and hot dogs are $1 each.

 

The pools have collaborated with the Gahanna Community Aquatics Group to host a variety of events this summer.

 

Hunters Ridge is hopping this summer with Sunday Night Senior Swim, YOLO Nights and Dive-In Movie & Family Fun Nights.

 

Sunday Night Senior Swim is free for members and just $5 for non-members on July 26 from 7-9 p.m. It's a relaxing event in our warm pool for our community 50+. We'll bring out the grill, play some tunes, and open the pool just for you.

 

YOLO Night is a great night of music, games, and pizza just for the 4th-7th graders on July 17 and August 7 from 6-9 p.m. Admission is just $5 for members and $8 for non-members.

 

The final Dive-In Movie & Family Fun Night is July 24 (Big Hero 6). The fun begins at 6 p.m. The movie begins at dusk. Members are $3 each or $10 per household and non-members are $6 each or $20 per household. It's a new evening of fun for you and your little ones. Cool hands on activities prior to each move and then all you can eat popcorn!

 

Gahanna Swimming Pool is hosting Aqua Day w/ Food Truck Rodeo on Sunday, July 19. Explore aquatic activities, paddling, diving, games and more for just $10 per member household and $20 per non-member household. More details will be available soon!

Registration Continues for Gahanna Football League



Register your young football player for the Gahanna Football League on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. or Monday, July 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Center at Rocky Fork, 480 Rocky Fork Blvd.  


Adults interested in coaching may attend an informational meeting on Monday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m.  Parents interested in obtaining more details about the league may attend the 7 p.m. meeting.
