Gahanna's "Aa1" Credit Rating Reaffirmed by Moody's

Moody's Investor Services has reaffirmed the City's "Aa1" credit rating after a recent review related to the City's plan to issue bonds for City road projects and refund the City's outstanding debt at a lower rate. The "Aa 1" rating for Gahanna  demonstrates very strong creditworthiness relative to other US municipal issuers. This "Aa1" rating is the second highest available rating in the Moody's bond rating system.

"This rating shows City leaders, citizens and the investment community that Gahanna's financial position is strong and the City is well managed financially," said Mayor Becky Stinchcomb. "This further proves the staffing and service reductions that we have implemented in the face of the Recession and State revenue cuts have put the City on a path to long-term fiscal sustainability. It is rewarding to have this work validated by an esteemed organization such as Moody's."

Moody's is renowned as a leading global firm that rates the creditworthiness of a company or governmental entity by determining the credit risk to investors.

PublicPublic Input Requested for The Annex at Rocky Fork Zoning Change

The City of Gahanna believes that citizen engagement is an important factor to the success of the city.  We strive to provide timely notification of development proposals so that Gahanna citizens are aware and can participate in the public hearing process.

The City of Gahanna has received a rezoning proposal for property located at 233-283 South Hamilton Road.

We value citizen input and we are seeking feedback on this proposed zoning change on Open Town Hall -- the City's online forum for civic engagement.  These comments will be aggregated and incorporated into the final record and provided to Planning Commission for consideration. The deadline for online input is June 17, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.

In addition to obtaining citizen feedback from Open Town Hall, a public hearing will be held at City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road on June 24 at 7:00 pm.
