Reminder: Coastal Cleanup this Saturday, September 15!
Join your neighbors cleaning our shorelines and creeks
Reminder, International Coastal Cleanup Day is this Saturday, September 15.

I hope you'll join me at a cleanup in West County. There are many great options, including  the Richmond Shoreline cleanup based at Shimada Friendship Park.

This is my 28th year sponsoring this site, which includes a free volunteer lunch at noon.

Other cleanups include: the Lucky A's North Richmond Ballfield, Wildcat Creek Fish Ladder, Fred Jackson Way near the North Richmond Farm, Baxter Creek in Richmond, Bayfront Park in Pinole, the Pt. Pinole Regional Shoreline, and El Cerrito's Cerrito Creek.

For a list and map of all Coastal Cleanup sites in West Contra Costa check the Watershed Project's Coastal Cleanup webpage.

Here's the California Coastal Commission's information, which also has a map of sites.

Volunteers from all sites are invited to our free lunch at Shimada Park at noon!
