March 2017

Spring Has Sprung!!!

March has been a crazy month for weather around our nation. Spring snow storms, tornadoes and hail,  too much rain in the Northwest and early cherry blossom blooms.  Hope it's going to settle down and we can all enjoy a lovely spring wherever we are.  I have been busier than ever so I know that many of you are booking your future travel.  All of our trips for 2017 are sold out. I would like to do a 5-7 day trip in early December for those of you who want to join me.  Some ideas are Puerto Vallarta (all-inclusive just to relax), Branson, MO or a trip to Southern California.  Let me know if any of these interest you or share your ideas with me.  I have postponed New Zealand until 2018.
Details soon.

New England & Canada
Escape With Us October 7-14, 2018
Norwegian Escape, round-trip New York

We did this itinerary in 2014 and it is one of my favorite trips. Just ask the lucky people who sailed with us.  We all had an amazing time. We depart out of Manhattan and sail to Portland, Maine, Bar Harbor (may be tendered), Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John, New Brunswick.  The scenery is breathtaking and we should be on time for some beautiful changing colors.
This itinerary is in high demand.  Therefore, it is very important that you reserve your cabin as soon as possible or they may be pulled by ship inventory.  A deposit of $500 will hold your space and is fully refundable until June 15, 2018. Don't be disappointed.

Easy Access Travel Returns to ALASKA!!!
We will be doing another Alaska Group Cruise round-trip Seattle August 4 - 11, 2018.  This time we will be cruising with NCL on a ship being built specifically for Alaska, Norwegian Bliss.  She is not built yet but promises to be absolutely amazing with walls of glass for your viewing pleasure.  Complete details have been posted to my website.  We have just secured space and are anxious to share it with you.  NCL is known for the hulls on their ships being painted by famous artists.  The Bliss will have her hull painted by Wyland, famous for his paintings of whales and sea life that decorate many building walls on the West Coast.  We are also working on a two night Seattle pre-cruise adventure.
Please email or call to sign up.  Many cabins already spoken for.

The Land Down Under

Let us know if you're interested in visiting the charming country of New Zealand. I am looking at dates now for 2018.  As always, this trip will be fully accessible.  It is a land trip, not a cruise.  Our plan is to travel and explore the North and South Islands from Auckland to Queenstown.  The trip will be about 18 nights in order fully appreciate all that this little gem offers.  I have visited New Zealand before and I'm excited about sharing it with you.

Need a scooter, wheelchair, O2, or anything else for your next cruise?  Let us make arrangements for you with Special Needs at Sea.

Call Easy Access Travel to arrange your equipment.

Easy Access Travel is available to speak to your organization or support group if geographically feasible. Please contact us for more information.

Sincerely,

Debra Kerper

Deb's Medical Update
& Travel Adventures

For all you amputees out there who receive this Newsletter, I have made the switch from pin system to suction.  I am finding it quite comfortable.  I now have two matching legs which is quite the novelty for me.  Trying to decide if I should get them cosmetically covered or not.  Any thoughts?  I am feeling very well and am happy to report that I have lost 13 pounds on Weight Watchers since the beginning of the year.  I have a neighbor who takes me to our weekly meetings. She has lost 20 pounds so congrats to her.
My new Toyota Sienna sits ready and waiting at United Access.  The state of Texas has to send someone there to approve the conversion and sign off so I'm still without a vehicle.  I know the end is coming and I will be independent once again.
We had a wonderful time last weekend in Los Angeles at Abilities Expo.  We had dinner each night with people who are very special to us including my dear friend, Edie Schwartz, who I worked with for 20 years before joining Cruise Planners.

Just Doing it a little Differently.....

We are excited about our upcoming Spina Bifida Cruise in May on RCCL's Harmony of the Seas.  We will donate funds to the National Spina Bifida Organization.  We are looking forward to cruising with repeat clients and are excited about welcoming new cruisers to our group.
