Welcome Fall & Cooler Days
I'm always anxious for the hot days of summer to end and look forward to cooler days and evenings and the leaves changing color.  Autumn is always a little hectic with school back in session and all of the associated activities. The onset of the holiday season also adds to increased stress as we go from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Year's.  Whew!!! Got tired just thinking about all this.
Don't forget to take out some time for you....read a good book, enjoy a movie and PLAN NOW for your holiday vacations.

Easy Access Travel is back from an amazing adventure to Europe!

We did it!!!! We had a group of 41 including 20 people using wheelchairs and scooters who traveled with us to Barcelona and then boarded RCCL's newest and largest ship, Harmony of the Seas.  This was definitely a Travel Adventure!  Barcelona is a lovely city with better accessibility than most European cities. We enjoyed lovely weather and had a comprehensive tour of Barcelona as well as a trip to Montserrat.
The Harmony of the Seas was an amazing ship but there was not enough time to experience all that she offered.  Our itinerary was jam packed with ports including Palma de Majorca, Rome, Marseilles (Arles) and Naples.  Due to an unfortunate incident during a crew drill, we were not able to go to Florence.  Everyone was quite understanding and enjoyed an unplanned day at sea.
As always, we had a very cohesive and enjoyable group of people traveling with us and made many memories together.

My husband, Steve Kerper, who has taught many of you how to order dinner on cruise ships, has written his thoughts on this trip.  Please read his complete report by clicking here.... I promise a few laughs will be had!

Alaska is Calling...

Alaska cruises and land/cruise combinations are the most accessible vacations we offer.  An accessible adventure is guaranteed and we want you to experience all of the magnificent sights that Alaska has to offer.  You can enjoy whale watching, dog sledding, helicopter rides (even a helicopter with a lift), train rides and much, much more. Do a seven night inside passage cruise or add a land package and see Denali National Park, Fairbanks, the Alaska Pipe Line, Anchorage with it's Alaskan Heritage Museum and more.
Now is the time to plan this adventure of a lifetime for summer of 2017.  You'll be glad you did!

Americans with Disabilities Act

Everyone is always talking about the ADA.  Do you really know what this is?  Do you understand what it provides?
Here is a brief recap of a law that is very important and has a significant impact on the lives of people living with a disability.

What is the Americans with Disabilities Act?
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) is the most comprehensive law ever passed to protect the civil rights of individuals with disabilities.  The ADA enables people with disabilities to participate more fully in their communities, compete more effectively for jobs, travel more easily in their hometowns and across the nation, and gain more complete access to the goods and services that most Americans take for granted.
While many Americans have heard about the ADA, few know what this important law requires.  United Spinal Association has published a free pdf version which explains the ADA in easy to read format and answers frequently asked questions.  Visit

for a better understanding of this very important law and how it affects you.

Deb's Medical Update
& Travel Adventures

As you know from reading this newsletter, I just returned from a fantastic trip to Europe. It was very exciting to walk to my seat on the plane and to be able to walk to the restrooms. I had my manual wheelchair with me and also used a scooter from Special Needs at Sea to get around the ship and the ports of call.  I could not have done this trip without that scooter.
I loved Harmony of the Seas and really enjoyed the very spacious accessible balcony cabin and the accessible bathroom with larger shower seat and a great drainage system.  The bathroom floor never got wet!  It was so much fun to see the Broadway Production of Grease and lots of other awesome entertainment.

So, now I'm having a little setback....slight opening in my incision line.  Back to wound care and antibiotics and back in the wheelchair.  I just took delivery of my new TiLite custom chair and it's Cruise Planners Green!  Off to Phoenix next week for the American Express Travel Forum at the Arizona Biltmore.  Flying and traveling by myself for the first time since surgery.  A little apprehensive but know I can do this.

Just Doing it a little Differently.....
