Produced by the George Varouh Cretan Club of Cleveland, the event encompasses West 168th Street from Lorain Avenue south to Albers Avenue and features Greek music, food, and fun daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, September 1, through Sunday, September 3. Cone Zone Now Offers Royal Castle Sliders

Who remembers Royal Castle Hamburgers? Those tasty little hamburgers were a big hit in West Park and all across Cleveland. Some of you may remember the local stores at West 140th Street and Triskett Road and the former Kathleen's Kitchen, now the Souper Market.

Well, they're baaack! David Ford of Weber's Ice Cream and owner of the Cone Zone has re-created the recipe, and even has that special Birch Beer to go along with it. At the Cone Zone, 4081 Rocky River Drive, the little hamburgers are being offered at the promotional price of just $1 each. Our Executive Director, Steve Lorenz, stopped in the "Zone" at lunch today. (See the video, here.) Steve said, "These are just how I remember the hamburgers from when I was a little kid. Grilled, with grilled onions and a potato bun, and with cheese if you like. Very, very, tasty!"

The promotional price will continue for awhile. Stop in and show the younger folks what the original fast food was like!
