STUDENT HEROES
Three freshman students from Santiago High School were honored by the Garden Grove Fire Department during a special student recognition assembly for their heroic act of saving a classmate from drowning.   Students Angelo Mendoza, Daniel Gomez, and Cristina Contreras, along with their teacher Shannon Macrill, jumped to action to save the life of Christopher Tran, a high-functioning student with autism, who mistakenly jumped into the deep end of the pool.  Click here for the ABC 7 News story.
