#GivingTuesday is Here!

The Black Friday shopping have transitioned to Cyber Monday sales, which means tomorrow is Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday is an international campaign to kick off the charitable season when we choose to make an end of the year donation to the causes that we care about.
 
This Tuesday, please consider donating to Child Foundation to join our thousands of supporters around the world who are helping our team with the following initiatives:
  • Send another child in need to school. Child Foundation is helping more than 8,700 students each month and we want to increase our beneficiaries to 10,000.
  • Distribute food packages to thousands of families in need.
  • Deliver "Backpacks of Hope" to thousands of children in school.
  • Provide medical assistance to children in families who cannot afford their medical costs.
  • Help children affected by thalassemia gain access to health care (blood, proper treatment).
  • Purchase and distribute coal to families of children in North Afghanistan to fight brutal winter.
  • Assist Haitian children, victims of hurricane Matthew with food assistance.
  • Help new refugee families settle down with provide them with necessary needs
  • and much, much more!
Child Foundation has one of the lowest overhead expenses among nonprofit organizations. Our administrative cost is only 3.39% of our budget and our marketing expenses is 2.87%. This means 93.74 cents of every dollar donated is spent on children and other humanitarian programs.
 
Your donations to Child Foundation is fully tax-deducible according to IRS tax laws, so please donate generously to maximize your tax benefits before the year ends.

Other Ways to Donate
Here are some other way that you can donate to Child Foundation:

1. Visit our child waiting list page and sponsor any child you wish to see succeed in his or her life with your assistance.
 
2. Visit our donation page and choose any humanitarian causes that you would like to support.
 
3. Arrange a private fundraising event, just invite your friends and family and talk to them about Child Foundation activities. If you contact us ahead of time, we will send you our magazines, pamphlets, information, and even balloons.
 
4. Donate via your phone by texting CF to 414-44. Then you receive a secure link to enter your credit card info and other information (US residents only).
 
5. Shop at AmazonSmile and Child Foundation receives 0.5% of your total as a donation from Amazon. You are not charged anything extra!
 
6. If you are selling on eBay, you can donate a percentage of any sale through eBay for Charities. All you have to do is choose Child Foundation as your favorite charity and let them know what percentage of your sale should come to us. They have our account information and will do the rest.
 
7. Donate that old car that is sitting in your garage and taking up your space. Just visit this site for information.
 
8. Double your donation to Child Foundation through your company's corporate matching funds. More than 50 reputable companies match their employees' donations to Child Foundation. If your company is not among our list, let us know and we will work with them to start one. Please visit our matching fund page for additional information.
 
9. If you work for the Federal government or if you are one of their contractors, retirees, etc. you can donate through Combined Federal Campaign. Our code with CFC is 46116.

Meeting @ G o o g l e
Child Foundation will have a presentation at Google headquarter about its activities and future plan on Monday December 5th, 2016 at 1 PM. This meeting will be in Boarder to Boarder Googleplex Building, 1965 Charleston  Road, Mountain View. 

Everyone in Google can attend this meeting, so please invite all of your Googlian friends and colleagues know about this wonderful opportunity to meet face to face with Child Foundation representatives to see how we all can participate in helping children to have a better future through access to education.

The mission of Child Foundation is to help children in need, who have been identified as high achievers to remain in school. We believe that education can move a child beyond the stigma of poverty and give that child the tools to reach his or her true and full potential. Since our inception in 1994, Child Foundation has provided basic necessities to children living in poverty or hardship, enhancing the quality of life for these children as well as their respective families. By providing access to education, Child Foundation hopes to eliminate children prematurely leaving school, and in certain cases, avoid early matrimony.
Hi, I'm Zeinab!
I am 9 years old student in 4th grade from city of Rasht. My parent divorced due to my dad's addiction problem and abnormal behavior. My mother married again but since my step father doesn't like me, we had to move back to live with my disable grandfather.

My mother needs help to support my educational costs. Everyone say I am a talented student but my mother is very concern about my future.

Coal for Cold!

Winter is approaching fast in Afghanistan, and concern of many families we support is their "heat". 
 
They usually use coal for their coal stove and heaters. This year they are also concerned about security of the area and how difficult it could be to look for coal.

According to our office in Mazar-e-sharif, the cost of coal for each family is about $120 If you like to help a family in need to stay warm this winter, please donate $120 for each family here. 
Tabriz School
A generous lady donated a large piece of land to be used for building a school for children in need in Tabriz. 

Child Foundation has finished surveying the land and have blue prints ready.
