While the major work of the last weeks of the legislative session was addressing the opioid crisis, passing Medicaid expansion reauthorization, and completing the Ten-Year Highway Plan, there was great progress on boosting the economy for New Hampshire's businesses and families. Dover's unemployment rate is now just 2%, but legislators know more has to be done for the many workers who have not seen much wage growth during this recovery.

State Legislature Update

The State Legislature will not have a House Session until September, unless one is called.  But that doesn't mean I will not be in Concord.  Last summer I served on four committees and so far this summer I am serving on only one committee.  I won't be there everyday, but will be reviewing material and be ready to hear the public as they come to the committee with their concerns.  It is an honor to be asked to help along with other legislators, and in some cases, appointed board members.  Sometimes our discussions and decisions help to lessen the possibility of litigation and save people time and money.    Read More...
