Sporadic outbreaks of multiple shootings and numerous female victims defined the month in gun violence in Philadlephia. At the GunCrisis Reporting Project we tracked 102 incidents which left 111 shooting victims throughout October, based on original reporting, media reports and other sources. <watch>

The State of Crime in Philadelphia
DA Williams: "I want to have the right people in prison."

One West Philadelphia shooting victim had to collect his own evidence, picking up shell casings and taking photographs because detectives were unavailable, according to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams

Williams focused on gun violence while speaking on "The State of Crime in Philadelphia" at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Link
