HART BEGINS OUTREACH FOR COMMUNITY FEEDBACK FOR PROPOSED NEW ROUTE 275LX
HART seeks public input on 275LX service concepts

TAMPA, Fla., Tuesday, March 6, 2018 - the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) is hosting a series of 10 community outreaches, a public meeting and public hearing to seek community input about the proposed new 275LX route. Beginning, Tuesday, March 6, these meetings give residents a convenient one-stop opportunity to share their thoughts on the service options for the proposed 275LX route serving Wesley Chapel, University area, Downtown Tampa and Tampa International Airport.

HART seeks input from transit riders and the community on three possible options for the new
limited express route that will replace the existing 51LX utilizing the funds provided by the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) urban corridor grants. The 275LX route would be funded 100% by FDOT's Urban Corridor program and is renewable.

Route 275LX would connect hourly to Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) and future regional connectivity links, leaving riders with stress-free service to Downtown Tampa and Tampa International Airport.

HART community relations staff will be available at each of the outreach opportunities to answer questions and introduce the three 275LX route options with information boards and interactive maps.

The community outreach will conclude with a public hearing meeting on Wednesday, March 28, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the New Tampa Regional Library 10001 Cross Creek Blvd., Tampa, FL 33647.

Feedback will be used to shape a recommended alternative that will be presented for Finance and Audit Committee review in April. Finally, in May, a recommended alternative will be presented to the HART Board of Directors for approval consideration.

The community outreach is scheduled for the following dates and locations. Members of the public are invited to attend and review the options and provide input. If you're not able to attend any of the community outreaches the proposal is available at www.gohart.org.

Any comments or questions concerning the new route 275LX may be directed to HART Service Development, 1201 East 7th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605, or by email at [email protected]
