Dr. Vergel Lattimore attended the HBCU Living Legends Scholarship Gala in Winston-Salem, NC and the Leadership Institute, Piedmont Episcopal District, Greensboro, NC in August. Also in August, he attended the retirement reception for Chaplain David Johnson, Carolinas Health Care System, in Charlotte, NC and the Ward Black Law Tithe Team Gathering, Greensboro, NC.

On September 7, he attended the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Superintendent’s State of the District Luncheon, Wallace Education Forum. Dr. Lattimore participated in the Inauguration of Dr. Frederick K. Whitt, 12th President of Lenoir-Rhyne University, in Hickory, NC, on September 8.

On Sunday, September 17, President Lattimore will preach “Men of Faith with Bragging Rights”, at the Annual Men’s Day Celebration, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He will participate in the Annual Corporation Meeting, Rowan Helping Ministries Board of Directors, in Salisbury on September 19, and on September 23, he will participate in the 500th Reformation Festival Commemoration Service, NC & SC Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
