Great News!

Thanks to our friends at MHAC and some of our generous supporters, we are now able to offer FREE REGISTRATION AND LUNCH to MHASF friends and community supporters. 

Mental Health Matters Day is happening in Sacramento this Wednesday, May 24th, at the California State Capitol in Sacramento to celebrate Mental Health Month!

Hosted by the Mental Health America of California, Mental Health Matters Day (MHMD) is a community event focused on speaking up about mental health and battling stigma that targets people with mental health challenges. You can find out more about the event at .
Here's our schedule for the day:
  • 7:15am:  Board our charter bus at 70 Ellis Street (at the Flood Building back entrance)
  • 7:30am:  Bus departs for Sacramento
  • 9:30am - 10am: Arrive in Sacramento
  • 10am - 3pm: MHMD activities/self-guided tours of capitol grounds/lunch/etc.
  • 3pm: Board bus for return to SF
  • 4:30 - 5pm: Arrive at 70 Ellis St.
Mental Health Association of California is providing FREE lunch vouchers to use at the food trucks near the event. We'll provide light snacks and 1 water bottle per person; here's a list of some other things you may want to bring with you:
  • Hats
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and umbrella for shade or rain(check the weather forecast for Sacramento the day before)
  • Snacks (we will provide some snacks)
  • Extra water (we will provide some water)
  • Lime green clothing or accessories for visibility
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Lawn chairs or blankets for sitting on the grass
  • Anything else YOU need to take care of yourself on the day!
Since we'll all be sharing an enclosed space on the bus, please minimize the use of scented products.
