Artist Research and Development Grant
Artist Research and Development Grant  
Application Deadline: 11:59pm, Thursday, August 25, 2016 
Artist Research and Development Grants (ARDG) are designed to support individual artists from all disciplines. The purpose of this grant is to aid in the development of artistic work, support the advancement of artistic research and recognize the contributions individual artists make to Arizona's communities.

Online Information Session
On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at 3:00pm we will present an online information session. This session will include discussion of ARDG application and eligibility requirements, a breakdown of the application components and a live Q&A with Artist Programs Manager Gabriela Muñoz.

Kroger Mural Project
Call to Artists for Public Art | Fry's/Kroger Mural Project 
Application Deadline: 11:59 pm, Thursday, July 28th, 2016
The Kroger family of stores is excited to give local artists the opportunity to lend their talents to creating an uplifting experience in their stores. The objective of the mural project is to create a space that encourages community gathering and celebrates the spirit of the neighborhood. This project is one of 65 proposed mural locations in stores across the country and Kroger hopes to continue this project in new stores for many years to come. 

NALAC Intercultural Leadership Institute
NALAC Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI)

The Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI) is a year-long rigorous personal and leadership development program for artists, culture bearers and other arts professionals. Applicationsto the ILI are accepted from established and emerging artists, culture bearers and other arts professionals in various stages of career development.  A group of up to 30 participants will be selected to join the first ILI cohort in 2017-18.

Tucson Pima Arts Council

The Tucson Pima Arts Council is partnering with Mayor Rothschild for an exhibit at the Mayor's Gallery titled "City Lights: Artwork Inspired by Nightlife in Tucson." Artists working in 2-D media, inspired by our region's unique nocturnal rhythms are invited to apply.

Performance and visual artists are invited to apply to participate in the upcoming Experimental Art Night at Mesa Arts Center. The event is a laboratory evening providing a venue and time for artists of all disciplines to present their work to an informal audience of community members. Submissions for this event are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Public Art Commissions in Oro Valley
Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance

The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance has issued a request for qualifications from artists interested in the commission of a public art project. The total budget for the project is $60,000. Individual artists and groups are encouraged to apply.

Working Artists Org. is dedicated to discovering, collecting and promoting great art and each month they offer an art purchase award aimed at assisting serious artists keep working. Artists working in all media may apply.

35th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition: Home
Smithstown Township Arts Council
Location: St James, NY
Deadline: August 3, 2016 
Photographers of all processes are invited to submit for the 35th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition hosted by Smithtown Township Arts Council. Submissions must consider the theme "Home," but is open to the artist's interpretation. Exhibition will take place from September 24th - October 23rd, 2016, at the Mills Pond Gallery. $600 in cash awards will be distributed.  

Call for Banner Artwork, Aerial Gallery 
City of Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs 
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Deadline: August 14, 2016 
The city of Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs is seeking an artist/artist team to provide banner art for the Aerial Gallery exhibit, Red. A $1,000 honorarium will be offered to each selected artist/artist team. The unifying theme of the exhibition is the color red and the original artwork will be printed onto vinyl banners to be displayed for approximately one year, as part of an ongoing juried exhibition project on the First Street Art Trail.

360 XOCHI QUETZAL is a free artist residency located on Lake Chapala, Mexico. Writers, playwrights, visual artists, fiber artists, filmmakers, photographers, new media artists, dancersand musicians are all welcome to apply for a one-month residency.

Artist in Residence Opportunities 
National Park Service
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Deadline: Various
Writers, musicians and v isual artists working in multiple creative media are invited to apply to more than 50 residency programs across the county. Programs vary, but residencies are typically 2-4 weeks in length and in most cases include lodging. Artists are invited to participate in park programs to share their art practice with the public.

Arizona artists, arts administrators and arts educators are invited to apply to receive funding to support their participation in professional development and skills-building activities which contribute to significant professional growth. 

First Peoples Fund Cultural Capital Grant Program 
First Peoples Fund
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Deadline: September 30, 2016 
Artists who are documented as affiliates of a United States Tribe (American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian) are invited to apply for a fellowship program designed for culture bearers in tribal communities, to receive financial and technical support to further their important work. Grant recipients have access to a large network of artists on the local and national levels and receive individualized technical assistance and professional development guidance as well as up to $5,000 in working capital funds.

Pollock Krasner Foundation
Location: New York, NY
Deadline: Ongoing
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation invites visual artists who have genuine financial needs to apply for funding through their grant program. The Foundation's mission is to aid, internationally, those individuals who have worked as professional artists over a significant period of time. Grants are intended to assist artists for a year, and award amounts vary depending on the applicant's circumstances.

The Western Museums Association (WMA) in partnership with the Museum Association of Arizona is holding a joint Annual Meeting September 25-28, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix. Volunteers must work for time periods equal to a minimum of four hours. In exchange for work, volunteers will be permitted to attend an equal amount of hours of non-ticketed Annual Meeting events.
