Welcome Our New Artist
Eric Schwerdtfeger

"Evening Glow"
11x14 Oil on Canvas

" Native of South Carolina, I have always had a passion for art. I started drawing around the age 5 and won several art awards in school. I attended summer workshops and had some of my work inducted into the children's Museum in Columbia, SC. My love for art and drawing progressed into adulthood. I always loved to go to Galleries and Museums to see other people's work and the work of the Old Masters. It soon inspired me to paint. I started out in watercolor then acrylics before deciding oil was my medium of choice. I mainly paint in the Tonalist and Realism styles of landscape painting. I love the abstractness and earthy colors of nature. Most of my work is heavily influenced by the Hudson River School of Painters and French Barbizon School of the 19th century. I just love the beauty of nature and Gods creation."  -Eric Schwerdtfeger
