and
WARRIOR
Thursday, February 15th
5:00 - 6:15pm
Showing first on Thursday, February 15th at 5pm, Souvenirs of War brings to life the legacy of war, told through personal stories of service members who have served in conflict from Vietnam to Afghanistan. Produced by Reuters Photographers Larry Downing and Jason Reed, this project was six months in the making. It was released for Veterans Day in 2010 and won the 2011 Edward R. Showing second that evening will be Warrior. Daytona State College Professors Eric Breitenbach and Bronwen Llewellyn have paired up to create this black and white documentary on student veterans who saw active duty prior to enrolling in college. The production features seven student veterans telling their stories. They discuss why they joined the military, and why their particular branch, along with what active duty was like and what challenges they are experiencing returning to civilian life.
Featured in the film are Robert Gosse, Heather Kraft, Steven Miksits, Robin Berry, Alysia Reed, Michael Eliassen and Sean Ferrier.

Following the screening of Warrior will be a Q&A with Eric Breitenbach.
