A Weekly Peek at Our Savior's....

God's good work continues in this place thanks to motivated members, friends, and staff.  Look what's happening in the
Health & Caring Ministry at Our Savior's!

The greatest news from the Health and Caring
Ministry Leadership Team (HCMLT) is that our church has officially joined the Stephen Ministry program. Our Parish Nurse, Stacy Meyer, and volunteer, Becky Maier, attended Leadership Training the week of April 9. We are excited to
get this program launched and to experience the positive transformations that will happen for our church, our community and the Stephen Ministers themselves. Talk with Stacy or Becky for more information and get signed up to become a Stephen Minister.

The HCMLT has also been working on updating assignments for the "Sonshine Card Club." These are volunteers who send cards or notes regularly to people who need support in some way. We can always use more people sending cards! If you are interested in being an "undercover encourager" please let us know.

Our team also wants to promote health and well-being in a variety of ways. Be sure to check out the bulletin board across from the choir room. The focus for April is on alcoholism and there are good resources available. We will be having a different health topic each month.

Our church was proud to host the 13th Annual Senior Health and Faith Day on April 17:

"Mental Health and Aging: Let's Talk About It."

This is a great service to seniors living in our community and a great way to share our space!
Does this ministry speak to your heart? If so, contact Stacy Meyer, Parish Nurse, for more information about how you can get involved.

See you in church!

Fisher's of Men (and Fish) Men's Ministry

Now that the ice is quickly receding from area lakes, fishing is on the minds of many of us! If you are a guy or high school youth who likes to fish, consider joining Our Savior's Fisher's of Men fishing group. It's casual and does not require much of a commitment. We fish a rotation of area lakes on Tuesday evenings beginning at 6 pm with the first event on May 29 on the
St. Croix River. Contact Chad Larson or Ray Valley with your interest in being put on the list. No boat required, but let us know if you do have a boat that could fish 2-3. We manage participation weekly through Sign Up Genius and it's an "opt-in" each week program. All boats compete in a friendly fishing competition, but the fellowship among men is the top priority. We had great participation in our inaugural year last year and we look forward to more men joining in 2018.
