Special July Hours

The main library and the Farms branch will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 for Independence Day. The main library is closed Sundays for the summer, and the Farms is always closed on Sundays. The Farms is also closed on Saturdays for the summer. Both locations will re-open with normal hours on Monday, July 6. 
"Summer Sounds" Free Concerts 

Our free outdoor concert series featuring local musicians returns for a 2nd season with a lineup featuring a great variety of family-friendly musical sounds - from folk to rock, and acoustic to a barber shop quartet! The series kicks off Wednesday, July 8 at 6 PM in our Winter St. courtyard with Adrienne Howard and Linda Swicker, a n instrumental duo playing traditional music from Ireland, Quebec, France, and Appalachia on instruments including fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and hurdy-gurdy. Concerts will run weekly on Wednesdays at 6 PM through July and August.  

Come to Our Movie 'Meryl-Thon'!

Meryl Streep turns 65 this summer and we're celebrating her career on Tuesday, July 14 with a day/evening "Meryl-Thon" featuring 3 of her movies! Come for one, two, or all three. We'll provide free snacks, including freshly popped movie-style popcorn (thanks to the Friends of the Library). The event runs from 1:30 - 8:30 PM in the Sohier Room at the main library. "Every Hero Has a Story" Sign-up for Summer Reading
Visit the library to sign-up for our summer reading program. Kids will receive reading logs, stickers and a bookmark. Children who read 700 minutes by August 12 will receive a Topsfield Fair Prize Packet (admission to the fair, a hot dog and drink voucher, and two ride tickets) plus a superhero pencil, and can enter a raffle to win "Every Hero Has a Story" prizes. We've also got a fantastic variety of great programs happening in July - Explore the Kids Page to see details!

LGBTQ Book Discussion Group Established

Our new LGBTQ monthly adult book discussion group will meet at the main library on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7 - 8:30 PM. All are welcome. Get Registered for the "Unmask!" Teen Summer Reading Program!
Visit the library to register and get your "Unmask!" game card by Thursday, July 31 f or opportunities to win great prizes, including a $50 Barnes & Noble or $50 Best Buy gift card! Farms Branch Events

Don't forget to visit our Farms branch for additional "Every Hero Has a Story" Summer Reading programs for children! Our super upcoming programs include "Pinto Bella (Hula) Hoops," "Jack the Lego Guy," "Twilight Tales," and "Summer Concerts with Dara." You can also register your child for the 6-week story time series "Super Duper Heroes," as well as "Great Greek Heroes & Monsters" which runs twice in July.
