2018 Spring Gala and Silent Auction —
Help Us Plan!
We are pleased to announce that the 2018 Spring Gala and Silent Auction will be held on Saturday evening, May 5 !! Please save the date on your calendars.

Planning is already under way, and we welcome everyone’s help! Co-Chairs Barbara Becker and Cordelia Batchelor warmly invite parishioners to attend an Organizational Meeting on THIS Sunday, March 4 from 10:15 - 10:55 am , in Grace Church School’s Colonial Room (the classroom across from the kitchen). If you have any interest in serving on a Sub-Committee for things such as Food, Auction Item Donations, Decoration or the like, please join us.

We are keen to bring people on who have experience planning this kind of event — but equally keen to bring on those who are new but feel they have some time, enthusiasm and skills to contribute.

If you can’t come to the meeting but are interested in being involved in some way, please email Barbara or Cordelia and we will find a role for you. The Spring Gala and Silent Auction will be a very special all-parish social occasion at which we will formally welcome our new Rector, the Rev. Dr. Allen Robinson and his family to Grace.

So please join us on March 4 at 10:15, and help us make that happen!

Barbara Becker and Cordelia Batchelor,
Co-Chairs, 2018 Spring Gala and Silent Auction
Next North Room Chat THIS Sunday, March 4
The Sunday Morning North Room Chats continue for those who have been looking for a little something "extra" from church on Sunday.

The next Chat will be THIS Sunday, March 4 , from 10:15 to 10:45 am in the North Room. Kathy Page and Rachel and Evan Cook will lead a discussion on Lent. How do you observe the season? Why? What are traditional spiritual practices? How can we apply the lessons of Lent to the rest of the year?

At these North Room Chats, we discuss spirituality and Christianity in bite-sized chunks. No need to prepare in advance. Just be open to learning something new, sharing your own life experiences, and, most importantly, growing in the Christian faith. Save the date for the next chat on April 8 (note that this is the second Sunday in April due to Easter falling on April 1 this year).

Contact Brianna McCarty and/or Anne Silver with questions or if you'd like to lead a chat!

Lenten Outreach
Lent is a season of reflection, prayer and preparation before the celebrations of Easter. In gratitude for the many blessings in our life and in our community at Grace Church, we are supporting two organizations, one local and one global, that work to improve food security and nutrition. You can make donations to the World Food Program and/or CHiPs by going to the organizations’ websites or leaving your contributions in the envelopes located on the Lenten Outreach table at the back of the church. You can also contribute non-perishable food items for CHiPS by leaving them in the labeled baskets. More detailed information about each organization can be found on the Lenten Outreach table. (Checks should be made out to: Grace Church and the memo line should indicate either World Food Program or CHiPS). Your support is appreciated!
