Safe Sleep Issue of CDC's Vital Signs

Every year, there are about 3,500 sleep-related deaths among US babies. Despite recommendations, 22% of mothers report not placing their baby on his or her back to sleep and 39% of mothers report using soft bedding when placing babies to sleep.

The January 2018 issue of Vital Signs focuses on safe sleep. The issue includes an infographic, fact sheet, video, and more.
