The United States Supreme Court has made their ruling on ObamaCare, essentially saying it is legal only because it is a monstrous tax increase instead of a "penalty" as argued by the President.  In other words, the President was untruthful with the American people when he was selling the bill.  The bottom line comes from our own Senator Marco Rubio: "ObamaCare may be constitutional according to the Supreme Court, but it is still a bad idea."

 

The hurt and disappointment we felt yesterday over this law and its impact on hard-working Americans all across our country, will pale in comparison to the pain we will feel if we wake up the day after election to find that the President has been re-elected.  He must be replaced and we must return honor, dignity and competence to the Oval Office in the person of a President who truly believes that America's greatest strengths can be found in job creators, not government.  Mitt Romney defines those characteristics. 

 

We must also commit ourselves to defeating Bill Nelson.  He is in his usual six-year exercise of trying to convince independent voters that he is, down deep, a conservative.  Two votes in favor of ObamaCare put that notion completely to rest.  Without him, we would not have ObamaCare.  That is reason enough to return him to Florida and have him bore everyone with his stories about space.  Under the circumstances, that is better than having him continue to negate Senator Rubio's votes.

 

The bottom line is this:  ObamaCare is a bad idea, poorly conceived and passed in back rooms with sweetheart deals.  Despite how this fiasco was sold, it is a tax that will still add to our growing budget deficit, cost nearly twice as much as advertised, and kills tens of thousands of jobs.  It must be repealed.

We have witnessed an assault on freedom and today is the day we draw a line in the sand.  We must make today the first day that we re-commit ourselves to freedom.  Run, don't walk, to your local Republican Party office, get a walk list and walk your neighborhood and knock on doors.  Commit to calling neighbors and energizing your family and friends.  If you have not signed up to receive updates from the RPOF and the RNC, please do so TODAY! We must elect Mitt Romney so he can, on Day One of his presidency do what the Supreme Court failed to do on their last day of session - REPEAL OBAMACARE!  We must also defeat Bill Nelson and any member of the Florida Congressional Delegation that supports this damaging piece of legislation that raises taxes and threatens seniors.
