Wow! Since our last mailer about World Book Night, the response has been terrific. Thank you for your support! There still is time to be a part of this unique event. See details below... Invitation: Could you help us? BookTowne needs book-loving volunteers to pass out books across our community on Monday April 23, 2012! Why? Because we are participating in World Book Night, helping to inspire others about the joy and gift of reading. Details: To participate you must register by Wednesday Feb 1st. Click Here to Register. In April you will pick up 20 free copies of a book you selected from the list, to a location in your community, and you just might change someone's life. Deadline to participate is Wednesday February. 1st, 2012. The entire publishing, bookstore, library, author, printing, and paper community is behind this effort with donated services and time.  History: The first World Book Night was held in the UK last year, and it was such a big success that it's spreading around the world! Please volunteer to be a book giver in the U.S.
BOOKTOWNE will be distributing books on Monday April 23, 2012.
We are will host a party on Wednesday, April 18th for all of the "givers" who will be picking their books up at BookTowne. We will use this time to talk about World Book Night and to discuss our plans for distributing the books. Don't delay, sign up today and mark your calendars!
