Dear Member, Many times, we hear of the sad news of a company that is moving, or even worse shutting down in this difficult economy. Maybe you know the owner, or you know someone in the company who has inside information. It is a delicate time and businesspeople are reluctant to come forward and let friends, customers and the public know that the days of their endeavors are short. The San Diego North Economic Development Corporation has put together a Rapid Response program for employees of such companies. The program will help employees with transition programs, retraining programs and provide assistance in accessing the many programs available for getting folks back into the workforce as quickly as possible. The key is to get to the company before it closes. So if such a situation crosses your radar, please give us a call and we can forward the information to SDNEDC and provide some valuable assistance for displaced neighbors. Travel with the Chamber This Fall
9 Days in China in October for $2,099 - 9 Days in Spain in November for $2195
Following the success of the first San Marcos Chamber trip to China in 2011, the Chamber is announcing two destinations for 2012. One is China again,this time with an option to go to Xian to see the Terra Cotta Warriors for an additional $500. Cost of the trip to China is $2,099 for double occupancy. Chamber members get a $100 discount.
The Chamber is returning to China this fall with the same pricing as last year.
$1,999 for Chamber members for 9 days, airfare, 4 and 5 start hotels and all meals. The Chamber is also offering an upgrade on the trip to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian this year for an additional $500.00
Our new destination is Costa del Sol, Spain. This trip you stay in one hotel the entire time on the coast of the Mediterranean. Day trips include Alhambra and Seville with optional day trips available, like Gibraltar. Cost of the Spain trip is $2495 and includes airfare, hotel accommodations, 13 meals (double occupancy). Also available is a Madrid Extension for $649.
