"Partnering Together"

Dear Members & Friends of Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
This past week two of our members, Becky Maier and Sandy Fabio, visited our partner congregation in Zacaleau, Guatemala. Pictures from their visit have been posted on our church facebook page. We look forward to hearing their stories and experiences. Next Monday, two more members of our Our Savior's, Cindy Gackel and Sue Hedlund, and I, will be traveling to visit our partner congregation in Mlafu, Tanzania. We too, look forward to the stories and experiences that await us.
At Our Savior's we are so fortunate to have opportunities like these that enable us to walk side by side, in relationship with our brothers and sisters across the globe as we strive together to make known the good news of Jesus Christ. The Body of Christ is much bigger than we are familiar with
in Stillwater and the surrounding community - it is definitely a global community that we are a part of. This coming Sunday during worship we will ask God to bless us as we travel to Tanzania and we will thank God for the visit and safe return of those who visited Guatemala. I hope you can
be present to be a part of this praise and blessing. While I am away in Mlafu, two local pastors, Janel Kuester at St. Paul's Lutheran, and Chris Bellefeuille at Trinity Lutheran, will be on-call for me in case of any pastoral care emergencies. Please contact our church office if in need.
This coming Sunday also marks the beginning of our Fall Stewardship series, "Come and See ... Go and Do!". More about this will be communicated on Sunday and in a letter and email to be sent out next week.
Today I am grateful for all that is done at Our Savior's in mission and ministry. We are making an impact locally and globally, and for that we can all give God thanks and praise!
