Congratulations to the
Phi Beta Lamba
(PBL) Club members who used their professional skills to compete at the
PBL
State Conference and Competition.
Our students competed and placed against students from some of the top ranked colleges and universities in Pennsylvania. The next round of the competition will be held this summer in Baltimore, MD.
South Hills students won awards in the following categories:
- Jamey Shreckengast: 2nd Place - Administrative Technology
- Anna Shawley: 1st Place - Forensic Acctounting
- Tess Bechdel: 1st Place - Parliamentary Procedure
- The Team of Bryant Moses & Tess Bechdel: 2nd Place - Hospitality Management

Microsof

® Training Center in Malvern, PA to attend Code Camp 2018. Code Camp is an annual event run by
Philly.NET
that provides attendees with 8 hours of free learning and networking opportunities.

Scholarships Available for Emergency Responder Volunteers
|
Centre County is offering scholarships to encourage new emergency responder volunteers in Centre County. These scholarships can be used at specific schools, including for any degree program offered by South Hills. Successful applicants will be eligible for scholarships of up to $2,500 per academic year.
|
|
Our students showcased their skills to over 90 local businesses at the NETWORK 2018 Career Fair held at the
Mountain View Country Club
.
This was our 20th annual Network Career Fair, a huge event that is organized by our
Career Services
team and designed to give our students a chance to connect with dozens of local employers as they seek the internships they need to graduate.

South Hills Completes Pro-Pilot sUAV Training Class
|
In March, South Hills completed the second offering of the "Pro-Pilot" training class. The 18-hour, intensive training program is one facet of the overall
Drone Initiative
at the school.
Drone technology is now being utilized in the fields of Engineering, Defense, Agriculture, Law Enforcement, Information Systems, and the Entertainment Industry.
