How to Reclaim Your Personal Power with Money
Have you ever found yourself in a particular situation where you set a strong goal and then was not able to follow through with the goal? For example, you'd like to have more time and freedom for your children but just can't seem to find the time with the long work day and then more work at home. Or you vowed that you'd go to the gym at least 4 times a week but you haven't had time to go even once since you joined? How about your goal to become financially free yet it seems that money always escapes you. If I may be so bold, let me ask you how many times you've really given away your personal power (particularly with money)?
For many of us, having more money is not just about accumulating. Many of us have big dreams and want to help more people, do more good in the world, and live a better life. Today, I'd like you to really think about where you may be giving away your power with money. Once you gain this clarity, it becomes so much easier to open the pathways for more money and abundance to flow into your life. Here's a few situational questions to get your mind thinking about where you may be giving up your power with money:
* What is a situation where you are afraid of asking for more? This may be more money, but can also be asking for more time, love, attention, or recognition.
* What is a situation where you could be saving money but haven't followed up on your savings plan yet?
* What is a situation where you owe someone money and haven't set up an agreed upon payoff plan?
* What is a situation where you are feeling afraid of making more money?
* What is a situation where you are avoiding having an honest conversation with someone regarding money?
* What is a situation where you are making excuses or telling yourself you can't do something which you know would be good for you?
* What is a situation where you have been afraid to ask for money that is owed or due to you?
* What is a situation where you are holding yourself back and avoiding new opportunities? What would happen if you took that leap of faith?
Take a few minutes and journal your thoughts to the questions above. See what a-has surface for you.
