The Sedona Art Prize, a year-long online painting competition open to all painters over 18. Call for Portfolios | Valley Bike Month 2017
Valley Metro

Valley Metro is soliciting examples of work from Maricopa County artists and designers aged 18 or older who want to create the Valley Bike Month, April 2017 design to be used on posters, t-shirts and other materials. A stipend of $2,500 will be paid for the art and all reproduction rights.

Arizona Consortium for the Arts

The Blue Guitar literary and arts magazine seeks literary submissions for the Fall 2016 Edition from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1. Submissions are sought in all genres - fiction, poetry, plays, creative nonfiction. Writers must submit original work and must live part- or full-time in Arizona. The Blue Guitar magazine also seeks art submissions in all mediums.

Sonoran Symbiosis will investigate the balance of nature in the Sonoran Desert and reveal the complexities and curiosities that exist between the varied flora and fauna that live in the Sonoran Desert. Artists are asked to investigate the many paths of life and the relationships within. Artists from the region are invited to submit 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional works in any media for consideration in this juried exhibition.

The first annual Sonoran Small Works Art show is a Juried Fine Art Show sponsored by the Sonoran Arts League and open to all Arizona artists. Accepted artists will be part of the Sonoran Small Works Art Show at the Red Truck Trading Company in Cave Creek, Arizona. Artists will be eligible for prestigious awards and prizes.
Public Art Project Invitation

Participating makers will craft individual gestures of gratitude in the form of flowers made from their own recyclable trash - plastics, aluminum, cardboard. Once made, these flowers will be assembled as a cascading textile-like display that replicates the seemingly unending flow of recyclables we generate and that these workers sort everyday.

La Macina di San Cresci is a unique place where artists can live and work together in historic buildings surrounded by gorgeous hillsides dotted with vineyards and olive groves. Residents can take classes in fresco, watercolor, Florentine artisanal upholstery, paper decoration and more. Artists will also have the opportunity to explore the surrounding areas on outings to local sites with cultural and historical significance.

Iheap is a post-graduate institute for research and experimentation in art. It represents the educational branch of the Biennale de Paris. Upon completion, Iheap confers a post-graduate diploma (Diploma for Research and Experimentation in Art). Participants may be enrolled in a parallel course of study while attending Iheap. Eligible candidates are not, however, required to hold a prior degree.

New special grant initiative and webinars for Storying Arizona
