Call for Proposals from the Work Family Research Network Conference, 2018
|
Work and Family Researchers Network (WFRN) invites the submission of abstracts for the 2018 Conference on
"OpenScience: Assumptions and Translation of Work and Family Research." The conference is to be held June 21-23 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC.The deadline for submissions is
November 1, 2017.
The theme of the 2018 Pre-WFRN Conference Workshop Day will be
"Translating Scholarship Into Action: Positioning Research to Fit the Needs of End-Users."
This event will enhance skills work-family scholars possess to influence those operating on the front lines - including media representatives, public administrators, policy makers, and those engaged in workplace management.

Opportunity to Sign Letter of Support for U.S. Legislation Mandating Paid Family Leave for Older Adult Caregivers

In addition to the conference, the Network in collaboration with the Social Work Productive Aging Grand Challenge, has developed a
letter in support of paid family leave to be sent to the U.S. Congress. We have
over 80 signatures from prominent academic researchers. If you are a U.S. member who would like to add your signature please email
me your name, degree, title(s), affiliation, city, and state.
We need at least 20 more signatures.
Please note that signatories to this letter are expressing their personal views and not representing the views of the institutions with which they are affiliated.
