 Split Rock Jumping Tour to Host 
Longines FEI World CupQualifier
SRJT Among 14 Elite Shows in FEI North American League
 
Lexington, KY - October 10, 2017 - The Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) has been selected by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) to host a Longines FEI World Cup™ Qualifier starting in 2018. SRJT is one of only 14 events selected to be part of the FEI's prestigious FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League (NAL) that determines which North American riders qualify to go to the Longines FEI World Cup™ Finals.

SRJT will host Longines FEI World Cup Jumping - Columbus as part of its 2018 Columbus horse shows, September 26-October 7, at Brave Horse Show Park in Johnstown, Ohio. Longines FEI World Cup Jumping - Columbus will be held on Sunday, October 7 and will help determine which N orth American riders will qualify for the 2019 Longines FEI World Cup™ Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Finals will return to the U.S. in 2020 when they will be held in Las Vegas.
 
Started in 1979, the FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final is an annual international showdown among the world's best show jumping horses and riders. In the 39 Finals held through 2017, Germany and the United States have emerged with the most titles with each country having won 10 times. Previous FEI World Cup™ Jumping Finals held in the United States include Baltimore (1980), Tampa (1989), Del Mar, CA (1992), Las Vegas (2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2015) and Omaha (2017).

The Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League boasts a minimum of $2.4 million prize money across the series each year, and offers the best Jumping athletes from North America and around the world the chance to qualify for the jackpot of more than $1.4 million (€1.3 million) awarded annually at the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final.  

A total of 14 athletes from the North  American League qualify for the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final. The top seven athletes from the East Coast US, the top three from West Coast US, and the two best-placed athletes from Canada and Mexico qualify for the Final, along with others from 15 leagues around the world.
