Eleven speakers took to the stage on Feb. 8 for Ignite Education Lab, a series of fast-paced stories about how personal connections had shaped their experiences in education. The event, presented by The Seattle Times, drew more than 400 people to Town Hall Seattle. Miss the live event?  The Seattle Times has videos of each talk on its website. Other Updates & Info from the Region
  •  Youth Employment, Education & Career Fair: Seattle Goodwill, WorkSource, the YMCA of Greater Seattle and King County are putting on this event on February 21st for youths and young adults aged 16 - 24 to come meet with employers, learn about educational opportunities and connect with colleges, and learn about steps they can take to start their careers. Reconnect to Opportunity and many other reengagement efforts and organizations will be there to provide young people with resources as well. 
     
  • Community forum on race and ethnicity data in Washington public schools: The Washington Race and Ethnicity Student Data Task Force is holding a community meeting as part of ongoing efforts to better represent and understand data disaggregations that are truly representative of students, families and their communities. The forum will be held at Highline Community College, Mt. Constance room in Building 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4th.
