On behalf of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I want to share the news that our CEO and President, Betty Capestany, will be leaving the organization after 17 years of exemplary leadership. She has accepted a job as the new Pierce County Economic Development Director. It has been an honor and pleasure to work with Betty. She has been a visionary leader and has helped transform our community and the entire eastside region through two challenging economic cycles and unprecedented growth.

Due to summer travel, we’re giving you all the months of July and August off from Chamber Public Affairs. We’ll resume our regular meeting schedule following Labor Day, on September 13.

However, we’ll convene small, informal groups to discuss the Wilburton Commercial Area CAC Report and the proposed Grand Connection crossing over I-405 .

WSDOT has released an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the I-405 Tukwila to

I-90 Vicinity Project, and a public hearing will be held
