Particularly during the Holiday season, it is important to reflect and use our resourced to help those in need. In the spirit of giving, we are proud to announce that a group of Tulsa Democrats have created the DEMOCRATS CARE program that will launch it's first effort in partnership with our Holiday Luncheon on Friday the 9th.
The Democrats Care program was created to serve the community through projects that exemplify our core Democratic principles. The service is to be done, not for political gain, but because it is the right thing to do. During the month of December DEMOCRATS CARE has partnered with The Mothers Group, a nonprofit organization committed to enriching the lives of children through educational, cultural and social initiatives. Throughout the month we will be collecting new and gently used children's books for the Santa Project. The Santa Community Project is a widely acclaimed annual event that promotes books and reading, positive self-image and family interaction among children and their families. You may drop your donated books by the Tulsa County Democratic Party offices or bring them to our Holiday Luncheon on Dec. 9th. Rally in support of the American Jobs Act - Monday December 5th, 2011 at 12:00
- The Ironworkers of Tulsa are hosting a Rally to promote the American Jobs Act with a gathering over Highway 11 on N Sheridan, one of the many crumbling bridges in Oklahoma.
