ISO 55000 is the first international standard developed to provide a guide about the different elements that constitute a system in order to manage all types of assets: physical, intangible, human and financial. This standard focuses on ensuring that the company goals are communicated clearly through the organization and that they are an essential part in all the stages of the assets' life cycle: acquisition, operation, maintenance and disposition.
