Burlington County Bar Foundation awards grants, in partnership with the Volunteer Center of Burlington County, to Local High School Groups Charitable Endeavors.


The Burlington County Bar Foundation (BCBF), the charitable arm of the Bar Association, in 2010 established its first grant process for local high school groups in order to help fund the students' charitable endeavors.

BCBF has set aside $1,000 in grant money which has been matched by the Volunteer Center to help Burlington County high school-based volunteer groups match their charitable goals.

There will be four awards for 2014-15 year:

1st Place - $1,000, 2nd Place - $500, 3rd Place - $300, 4th Place - $200

For 2014-2015 grant application  
Deadline: December 5th, 2014


Past Grant Recipients:

2013 -2014

1st Place - Lenape High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes - $1000

2nd Place - Shawnee High School Kids for Wish Kids - $500

3rd Place - Lenape High School Community Service Club Cozies for Chemo - $300

4th Place - Shawnee High School Student Council "Be A Hero" Wristlet Sale - $200



2012 - 2013

1st Place $1,000 - Lenape High School Community Service Club for Cozies 4 Chemo which makes blankets for teen and youth cancer patients

- 2nd Place $500 - Shawnee High School Give Kids the World Village to travel to Kissimmee, FL to help children with their life-threatening illnesses and their families have magical vacations

- 3rd Place $300 - Shawnee High School Make a Wish who are adopting a wish from the Make a Wish Foundation and plan to use the money to make this wish for a youngster come true

- 4th Place $200 - Seneca High School DECA for a dodgeball tournament which raises money for local children who need medical surgeries, home remodels for wheelchair accessibility and more.



2011 - 2012

1st Place - Lenape High School - Operation Santa

2nd Place - Burlington Twp. High School - Project Linus

3rd Place - Lenape High School - Community Service Club



2010 -2011

First Place ($500 grant) was awarded to Willingboro High School, "Making Visions Possible School Based Youth Services Program." This group participated in a community service project summer 2011 in Washington, D.C. through the Center for Student Missions.

Second Place ($300) was awarded to Delran High School, "Operation Cookie." This organization sends boxes of cookies and other comforts to our servicemen and women overseas during the holidays. Last year the group sent over 65 boxes of aid.

Third Place ($200) was awarded to Cinnaminson High School, "Interact." Interact is a high school-based Rotary program. This year, Cinnaminson's Interact project aims to help provide clean water in third world countries via the Hydraid Program, which provides a simple water filter system to help combat disease. Each filter is designed to provide safe water to a family for ten years.
