Take Time to Take Notice - The Volunteer Center of Burlington County which urges residents to take note of the many things that volunteers of all ages are doing day and day out.
With being busy with the challenges of daily life there is precious little time to reflect upon and celebrate what is being achieved in the way of improving personal and community life. While there are always needs and problems to address there are ones that have and are being addressed.
As you walk through your neighborhood, drive through your municipality, journey through the county, and read and listen to community news Take Time To Take Notice. It is a way as a stakeholder to give yourself, neighbors and fellow county residents a well deserved "pat on the back" for making a difference.

The Volunteer Center of Burlington County annually focuses on Civility leading up to 9/11. This is done as a tribute to how we were as a nation - as a people in the days immediately following 9/11/2001. It was how we as a nation - as a people coped with the loss and horror of a tragic day. The civility demonstrated by millions of citizens honored those lost and harmed; demonstrated the "better nature of our angels"; and reminded one-and-all of the breadth and depth of our individual and collective capacity to hold true to our founding principles and values. We have an abundance of knowledge, talent and resources to successfully address countless challenging matters in ways the world has never known. We have so much - we can continue to achieve much. When we come together to build a playground or address a national disaster something magical happens. When we listen, respect differing opinions and creatively apply the abundant talent of individuals in our private, public and independent sectors we "get er done". 9/11 is not only about never forgetting, it is also about how we remember and how we honor - how we live - how we act today and tomorrow....Because we are free it has been and will continue to be our choice. "Civility costs nothing and buys everything." - Mary Worley Montagu
