A Note From
Alan Fletcher
The 69 th  season of the Aspen Music Festival is only one month away and our 640 students arrive in just two weeks! We received a record number of applicants for our program and we work with faculty, who give extraordinary care to the admissions process, to select the best.
Student financial aid is crucial in our ability to both attract and retain the highest caliber AMFS student body and expand our legacy of teaching, learning, and sharing the art of classical music.
We are so grateful to those who have provided $10.8 million toward our goal of increasing endowed scholarship funding by $15 million. These gifts support our students so they may work with our esteemed artist-faculty.
Every gift to the endowment is an investment in our promise to be an unsurpassed summer institution of classical music education, performance, and presentations.
With sincere thanks,
Alan Fletcher

Announcing the Martin Flug Scholarship
Martin and Sarah Flug with AMFS Music Director Robert Spano
The  Martin Flug Scholarship was recently created to support talented string players at the Aspen Music Festival and School in perpetuity. This fund was established by an anonymous donor to honor Marty Flug's legacy as a champion of classical musicians and to acknowledge his love for chamber music. Marty was an avid supporter of the arts and spent his summers in Aspen befriending artists, cheering on student musicians, and immersing himself in the music.

The ability to offer financial aid is one of our most powerful recruitment tools to ensure that we attract the best and brightest musicians. Please help us reach and retain the world's best musicians by endowing new, named scholarships as well as making gifts to existing funds in the AMFS endowment. All gifts designated for financial aid support the dreams of our students, and build on our community's legacy of support for young musicians.

If you have questions about how you can support the AMFS through gifts to the endowment now and through planned gifts, please contact Lenor Leeds, Interim VP for Development at 970-205-5062 or [email protected]
Honor Our Revered Artist-Faculty
Students rank our world-class faculty as the top reason to attend the AMFS. Our faculty teach, mentor, and perform side-by-side with their students-giving them a unique look into the life of a professional artist. Named teaching and performance chairs distinguish artist-faculty members for their excellence in performance, leadership qualities, and mentorship expertise shared with our students each season.

Give a gift today to honor a beloved faculty member or contact Lenor Leeds, Interim VP for Development at 970-205-5062 or [email protected].
Support Festival Excellence
Enhancing our current Festival offerings and investing in new ventures will provide educational experiences for our audience members. Interacting and seeking growth, as an audience member or performer, is important to the future of classical music. Support creativity and underwrite endowed funds for innovative programming, to establish special projects, commission new works, or support existing programs like the Aspen Conducting Academy and Aspen Opera Center.

If you have questions about how you can support the AMFS through gifts to the endowment now and through planned gifts, please contact Lenor Leeds, Interim VP for Development at 970-205-5062 o [email protected]
Strengthening  the Work and People of the AMFS
