Happy Valentines' Day

Wonderful Portrait Sitters.

I'm feeling the love for each and every sitter that places their trust in my portrait brush.  A new commission currently on my easel.

The Museum of Ventura County.

For showcasing "Going Under The Knife" - a selection on my palette knife portraits,  at the Museum's Tool Room Gallery. Save the date. Opening April 1st.  Thank you to curator Anna Bermudez for helping highlight this collection that is close to my heart.
Stimulating New Projects

Currently working on a great new project for The Stonehaus Winery in Westlake Village, California, creating  five new wine labels. My pen and watercolor sketchbook style is something I love to do and I love it when others love it too. I also love The Stonehaus's wine selection. Click on image for link.

"Southern Charm's" Patricia Altschul

I was so fortunate that the very witty and gorgeous  grande dame of  the "Southern Charm" TV show Patricia Altschul sat recently for my new Face of Charleston Public Portrait Project in conjunction with The Charleston Mercury (est. 1822!). Here she is seeing her life sketch after the two hour sitting. Patricia's sketch and story  here

This is the third town I will be painting.  Thanks to this series co-creator Katherine Mengedoht. The Face of Malibu continues with The Malibu Times with 50 sitters painted by the end of this year. The Face of Ventura saw 57 sitters painted in the town, now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Ventura County.
To date, I am in my sixth year of this project with well over a 100 sitters painted from life. Feelin' the love.
