Greetings!
This week, we kicked off our annual back-to-school campaign and you are officially invited to
join us
in this humanitarian effort. Simply joining and donating a few backpacks for children is not enough. This year, we are asking our donors to
do more
and get more involved
. Call your friends and colleagues and ask them to join our efforts in motivating children for the new school year.
The exchange rate of the US Dollar to Rial has caused economic problems for many families we support who were already facing financial turmoil, thus, a new backpack goes a long way for a child starting the new school year.
Let’s join hands and combine our forces to provide thousands of new backpacks filled with school supplies and personal hygiene items for children whose families cannot afford it. They will learn from your kindness once they know people from thousands of miles away care about their education and well beings.

Facebook Fundraising
is a very effective and efficient tool for fundraising and spreading the word as Facebook recognizes Child Foundation as a vetted and trusted nonprofit and does not charge us or you for this service. Once you have created the fundraising page, invite your friends to join you!
If you have children going back to school, this could be an exciting way to teach them about the importance of philanthropy. If you are member of a social association in your city, community or a student group in a university, it can be an effective small project with great outcome for the children we support.
As always, feel free to donate
here
and continue to help as many kids as possible.
Thank you for your continuous support of our cause,
Kamyar Lashgari

Last week, the Word Health Organization (WHO) sent a warning that Yemen may be hit by the third wave of cholera.
As a result, thousands of children will die
.
"
We have had two major waves of cholera epidemics in recent years and unfortunately the trend that we have seen in recent days to weeks suggests that we may be on the cusp of the third major wave
,"
Yemen, described by the UN as the world's worst humanitarian crisis, has seen more than a million suspected cholera cases amid the conflict between Huthis and forces supported by a Saudi-led coalition. The warning came a day after a deadly Saudi airstrike on the country's largest hospital in the rebel-held port city of Hodeida.
Child Foundation is collaborating with Doctors without Border in providing vaccines for areas in Yemen where cholera is escalating. Please join us and donate
here
to help children’s vaccination.

Maryam
is a 15-year girl from Tabriz. She is a talented student and has successfully graduated from 8th grade. Her father, who was a local cheese-seller, died after a life of severe drug addiction. After his death, Maryam’s mother continued to care for her daughter. She spins yarns and hand-crafted carpeting to earn a meager living for their family.

Maryam’s mother makes each knot in the hand-crafted carpets with the hope of making a happy and peaceful life for her daughter. Maryam has promising talents and future.
Her tomorrow can be bright with some assistance and support
.
After reviewing Maryam’s talents, interest, and motivations and taking into consideration the financial needs of the family, Child foundation has granted a
