A GREAT DAY AT THE MOTOCADDY MASTERS AT THE LOVELY BRANTFORD GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Brantford, ON (June 27, 2017) - The lovely and historic Brantford Golf & Country Club provided the stage for the Motocaddy Masters. During this mid-season stop, of the 2017 GTA AM Tour season, competitors were greeted by a golf course in excellent condition and, for the most part, beautiful weather. Both of which were ideal for a mid-season battle for those precious Myrtle Beach Order of Merit Points.
Leading the Championship Flight was Eric Velanoff shooting a 77. Four players were deadlocked at 80. After card matching, Mark Rodgers would secure second and John Harrington landed in third.
A Flight was led by Marc Laverdiere carding a smooth 77 and capturing his first Tour victory. Hal Kerby was working hard to force a tie, but would settle for second by shooting a 78. Arjun Tuteja was two back posting an 81.
Tour veteran, and GolfTEC student, Larry Withyman would claim victory in the B Flight posting a score of 82. Nipping at his heels was Rob Lasak shooting who was one back with an 83. Peter Cuthbert shot an 85 to take a third place finish.
C Flight would also see long-time Tour supporter, Robert Perri claim victory posting a score of 93. Rick Jones and Franco Aceto would match scores of 94 and card matching would see Rick finish in and Franco in third.
Seniors' Flight was won by Todd Stones who shot an 81. He claimed his fifth victory of the season! John Standford would place second shooting 83. Jack Radford would claim the net score victory with a Net 70, with Brain Knott was close behind with a Net 72.
